Dalston Mill Fabrics (Shop Review & Fabric Purchases)

Dalston Mill Fabrics is a London based fabric shop that has been running for over 30 years. They have a wide range of fabrics in their online store, and the website says that they have a much larger collection in their physical store, so there may be more and more coming to their online store in the future! It sounds like it would be well worth stopping by if you in their area of east London. You can read more about their history by clicking here.

I was drawn to their website after seeing an online advert for Halloween Fabric, and I just knew that I needed some fun Halloween prints in my life! I was very impressed with their range of printed polycottons. I love fun and bright prints so it was hard to only choose a couple! In the end I went for a purple printed Halloween poly cotton (plus matching thread!), a space and rocket poly cotton and a world map animal print cotton.

Dalston mill do carry a wide range of fabric from dress fabrics, and bridal fabrics to dance fabrics. They seem to have good prices throughout, and whilst I can only reference their cotton and polycotton fabrics, the quality seems very good. I love that I was able to splurge on a few meters of each fabric, without spending too much or risking low quality. There is not a haberdashery section on the website at the moment, but you do have the option to add matching Guterman thread to your order (something I took full advantage of).

Overall, I’m very happy with the fabric I purchased and I would be happy to buy more from them again, in fact, I am already eyeing up their Christmas print cottons!

Dalston Mill Fabrics can be found at 69-73 Ridley Road , London ,E8 3NP or on their website at http://www.dalstonmillfabrics.co.uk
