Felicity Fabrics is a fairly new online shop run by a mother and daughter duo – Caroline and Fliss. They are passionate sewists themselves who have curated a beautiful collection of dressmaking fabrics, indie patterns and haberdashery items.
The website has a really luxurious and well branded vibe to it and I really enjoyed taking my time choosing what fabric to buy. The website is easy to navigate and the information regarding ordering and delivery is easy to find and clearly written. I knew I wanted a viscose to make a Tilly and the Buttons Lotta dress with, and I managed to find a gorgeous yellow autumnal viscose that was exactly what I was looking for. I have to admit though it was hard to limit myself to one piece of fabric – there were so many beautiful patterns.
I was so excited for my order to arrive and I must emphasise how thrilled I was with the presentation of the fabric! My order was packaged in a branded cardboard box, with the fabric wrapped in tissue paper, with a handwritten note. Another lovely bonus was the inclusion of a sample of the fabric I purchased that had all the fabric details written on the back – especially perfect if you store fabric for a while before using it and want a reminder of the composition. I definitely feel that all these little touches made my purchase feel like a special treat.
Whilst their may not (currently) be a huge range of fabric available, there is still a decent amount to choose from and it looks like their collection is expanding a lot. If you follow their instagram page you can see when the new pieces are being listed as well.
From what I can tell the fabric all seems to be of a high quality and most has a good mid-range price point, whilst there is still some more expensive pieces available. There is also a well stocked remnant section as well as a swatch service – you can order up to 5 swatches for free, paying just £2.00 towards the postage.
Overall, I am so so happy with my fabric and I can’t wait to get sewing! I will be looking forward to purchasing more fabric from Felicity Fabrics in the future and I would reccomend taking a look at their website and instagram.
